Profiles Volunteer Being a member of Ohio Farm Bureau is simply a way of life for Ashtabula County Farm Bureau member Mary Jones.
She has served on the Ashtabula County Farm Bureau board for the past 15 years. She also has served a few terms as membership chairman and has served on the public affairs committee. For several years she coordinated the Ashtabula County Farm Bureau annual meeting.
"More than anything, I enjoy the company of the people involved in Farm Bureau. I’m interested in the business coming from a large farm and then having a small beef farm after I was married," Jones. "I also think it offered a lot of opportunities for my children."
Before the death of her husband, the Joneses raised beef cattle. Jones is retired from General Electric.
She is the president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Conneaut Paid Fire Department and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star church. She has three grown children and one grandson. | |
