Profiles Staff Joanne Menning has been an organization director (OD) for the Ohio Farm Bureau since 1986. At that time, she served Columbiana County. In 1991, Menning was named OD for Portage, Stark and Summit counties, and in 2001, Columbiana County was added to her duties.
As OD, Menning acts as a liaison between the county Farm Bureaus and OFBF. She assists the county groups as they develop and implement programs to strengthen the organization and enhance its ability to serve its members.
"I am proud to be a part of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and thoroughly enjoy working with our friends in agriculture." Menning said. "The members and staff with whom I work are all wonderful people. It is very rewarding to help our farmers with the problems they are being faced with each day. I truly feel it is a privilege to work with the Ohio Farm Bureau and its members."
She is a native of Columbiana County and attended classes at Kent State University and Mount Union College. Prior to becoming an OD, she was the office administrator for the Columbiana and Mahoning County Farm Bureaus.
Menning and her husband, Jim, reside in Salem and have three grown children. They are active members of the Greenford Christian Church. | |
