The two largest expenses for a farm or agribusiness are energy and labor. Farm Bureau is giving members an opportunity to learn more about how to keep both expenses under control at one of the organization’s local Energy Market and Labor Outlook meetings.

Market volatility, financial accountability, weather conditions and international events are just a few of the variables that impact a producer’s need for natural gas, electricity and other fuels. Discussion at each outlook meeting includes:

• Natural Gas – general transportation service market trends, impact on other energy markets, market conditions, financial health of energy service companies.
• Electricity – market trends, future demands from agribusiness, energy efficiency technical work.
• Self-Help energy savings opportunities and strategies in deregulated energy markets.
