Candidates invited to campaign seminarHave you ever had the desire to serve the public by running for office but you just don't know where to start? Each year Ohio Farm Bureau co-sponsors a Campaign Management Seminar designed for those who are interested in running for public office now or at some future time. The seminar also is appropriate for spouses of candidates or campaign managers. This year's seminar will be held Sept. 25 to 26 at the Conference Center at North Pointe, located north of Columbus.
According to OFBF Director of Political Education Deering Dyer, some of the sessions include learning how to effectively use the news media, establishing a campaign theme, putting allies and coalitions together and preparing a budget. The training seminar was developed by the American Farm Bureau Federation with input from political consultants and staff of both political parties.
To ensure maximum effectiveness and personal attention, enrollment will be limited to the first 50 people to send in a registration fee of $125 by Sept. 9. The fee includes materials and some meals. | |
