Profiles Volunteer Don Carpenter has been active in Belmont County Farm Bureau for several years. He has served as president, membership chairman, on the government affairs committee, on the county board and as a delegate to the Ohio Farm Bureau annual meeting.
"Ohio Farm Bureau gives us one-on-one contact with our county and state legislators. Without Farm Bureau the farmers’ voice wouldn’t be as great with the government," Carpenter said. "I appreciate what they’ve done for us all these years."
Carpenter serves on the Ohio Sheep and Wool board. He raises 100 brood ewes and a few beef cattle.
He and his wife, Carol, reside in Temperanceville and are members of the Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. They have two grown children and two grandsons. | |
