Nationwide/OFBF relationship strengthened
by Annie Cunningham The Farm Bureau/Nationwide relationship is one of long-standing respect and mutual benefit. Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) and Nationwide Insurance work hard to support one another’s programs because the organizations believe in the same things and share common values. County Farm Bureaus have worked for many years promoting Nationwide products and services, building the relationship between members and agents and building membership through cooperative efforts with Nationwide. In turn, Nationwide has been a strong financial supporter of county Farm Bureau activities. With the addition of a new program area, counties will be able to get recognition for all of the hard work they’ve done for years. The creation of the Nationwide Sponsorship Coordinator program will highlight the OFBF/Nationwide relationship and will join the 10 other Standard of Achievement Awards (STAR). The role of this volunteer leader will be to assist the organization director (OD) in enhancing the Nationwide/Farm Bureau relationship at the county level. The Nationwide Sponsorship Coordinator will work to bring county Farm Bureau members and leaders into the relationship for the mutual benefit of the member, the county Farm Bureau and Nationwide. Like other STAR Award programs, the Nationwide Sponsorship Coordinators will be asked to meet specific objectives. "Since the beginning of Nationwide Insurance in 1926 as the Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and its members have had a vested interest in the growth and success of Nationwide," said Dan Rapp, OFBF director of member services. "We created this program because the relationship with Nationwide is important to OFBF, and it’s another of many steps we’ve taken to strengthen the relationship through the decades." | |
