Profiles Volunteer Carroll County Farm Bureau considers itself lucky to have recruited Vickie Caldwell as a member six years ago. Since that time, Caldwell has become very active in many of Farm Bureau’s activities. For the last four years, she has served as the promotion and education chairman and coordinated many activities including Food Check-Out Day, Ag in the Classroom and Country Living Field Day. She also has helped with the membership campaign and Carroll County Farm Bureau’s annual meeting. "My main goal as a Farm Bureau member is to educate others in the community about agriculture and Farm Bureau. I think it’s important to give farmers the recognition they deserve," Caldwell said. "If it weren’t for farmers, we wouldn’t be able to live the way we do. I learn so much from Farm Bureau, and I enjoy relaying that information to others." Vickie and her husband, Donald, live in Carrollton. She has three children and five stepchildren, all grown. They have 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. | |
