Profiles Volunteer Wayne Wickerham believes in the purpose and vision of Farm Bureau, and therefore donates a lot of his time to the Logan County Farm Bureau. He currently serves on the county board and is a member of The Board Bunch Advisory Council. He also has served as president, government affairs chair, membership co-chairman, delegate to the OFBF annual meeting and a member of the policy development committee. "The biggest reason being a member of Farm Bureau is important to me is the promotion of agriculture. The legislative representation is important, too," Wickerham said. "By promoting agriculture, Farm Bureau educates the consumers, and that’s a big boost for producers." He owns Wickerham Produce and is past president of the Ohio Vegetable and Potato Growers Association. He also owns a grain farm that he rents to his grandson. Wickerham and his wife, June, have three grown children and seven grandsons and reside in Huntsville. Wickerham is a deacon at Huntsville Presbyterian Church, a member of the Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce and zoning chairman of Richland Township. | |
