Miller elected to OFBF board

Matt Miller, Tuscarawas County, has been elected to the board of trustees of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). As the District 13 trustee, Miller will represent Farm Bureau members from Carroll, Harrison, Jefferson and Tuscarawas counties.

Miller was elected to complete the remainder of the term of his father, John, who recently passed away after an extended illness.

Miller is active in the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau where he served three years as chairman of the policy development committee. He also has been involved with the county Farm Bureau's membership campaigns, a farmland preservation task force and the annual meeting committee.

The life-long Dover resident farms in partnership with his mother, Sue, operating a dairy and producing corn, soybeans, wheat, hay and other crops. Miller and his wife, Amanda, are the parents of one daughter. They attend Sugar Creek Free Methodist Church.

Miller expressed excitement about his election to the Farm Bureau state board. "Farm Bureau is a great organization to be a part of, and I'm just glad to be in a position where I can serve the members," he said.
