McCall and omelets

Humorist Jack McCall used laughter to teach delegates at this year’s OFBF annual meeting how to deal with change. McCall’s speech was preceded by an omelet breakfast sponsored by the Ohio Poultry Association. Omelets were made-to-order by members of OFBF board of trustees.

McCall, from Tennessee said people need to build networks because information is the key to coping with change. "That’s why you’re here" at the annual meeting, he said.

He also suggested that organizations that face change proactively have a head start on those that react to events. He also said flexibility and imagination are also qualities needed to help deal with a changing world.

He praised the members for their choice in vocation. "Agriculture’s people and the agricultural way of life are the best way of life in the world."

And he admonished the members to look after their own well-being. "If you want to take care of the people you love, you have to take care of yourself."
