Profiles Staff Susie Taylor was a familiar face to many Farm Bureau members when she took the position of staff writer for Buckeye Farm News and Our Ohio in 2001. In 1990, Taylor was hired as the media relations director, but left in 1993 to care for her family. As staff writer she is responsible for developing story ideas, writing and editing articles and completing photography assignments, among other duties. "From the first moment I joined Farm Bureau's staff, I knew this was the organization I wanted to work for," Taylor said. "My co-workers make this job a piece of cake, and the member volunteers I get to work with are the icing." Taylor is the owner of Taylor Made Communications, where she does freelance work that includes writing for the Ohio State University (OSU) alumni magazine. She is a graduate of OSU with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. Before coming to OFBF, Taylor was the farm editor for the Marion Star newspaper and Marysville Journal-Tribune.
