Profiles Volunteer Bob Sage has contributed to the success of Farm Bureau in many ways. He is serving his third term as president of Geauga County Farm Bureau. He was on the county Farm Bureau board as the secretary and vice president. He also has worked membership, was the government affairs chairman and was involved in an advisory council. On the state level he was influential in deciding the plans and goals of OFBF as a member of the Envision Future committee. He also has been a member of the state policy development committee and a delegate to the state annual meeting. "Farm Bureau has the power to work with the government to mold, change and modify regulations and rules facing farmers," Sage said. "The voice of Farm Bureau is impressive and helpful to the farmer." Sage is currently the secretary for the Ohio Apple Marketing Association. He is also a member of the Ohio Fruit Growers Society, where he is past president, and a member of the Ohio Vegetable and Potato Growers Association. He and his family grow a variety of fruits and vegetables and run Sages’ Apple Farm Market. He and his wife, Linda, reside in Chardon and have two children Ben, 23, and Jordan, 10. They attend the House of Prayer and Praise church in Champion. | |
