Jack Fisher came to the Ohio Farm Bureau as the executive vice president in 1996 after an extensive career in government and agribusiness. Fisher grew up on a farm in Crawford County. He holds bachelors and master s degrees in agriculture from Ohio State University and a masters degree in counseling from Ball State University. He served as personnel officer for the U.S. Air Force Tactical Fighter Wing in England from 1969 to 1973. Prior to coming to OFBF, he was the executive director of governmental affairs and commodities for the Illinois Farm Bureau. Fisher was deputy director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture from 1980 to 1983, after serving as assistant to the director from 1973 to 1976. He also has been director of the Illinois Corn Growers Association and Corn Marketing Board and plant manager for the popcorn division of Wyandot Inc. in Morral. "Together we can keep a changing agriculture the No. 1 industry in Ohio for many years to come," Fisher said. Fisher and his wife, Judy, have three grown children and reside in Worthington. | |
