Membership workers rewardedNearly 130 county membership chairmen and campaign top signers received a special thank you for their hard work when they participated in the annual Membership Chairmen Trip. OFBF leaders won a seat on this year's trip to Pittsburgh when their county had either gain or farmer gain by March 1 and another seat for a guest if the county had both gain and farmer gain by March 15. "These are the people who made an extra-special effort to help us meet our membership goal, and we use this trip each year to say thanks for all their hard work," said Jeff Watkins, OFBF's vice president, field services. On the trip, the group made stops at the John Heinz Historical Center and the National Aviary, took a riverboat dinner cruise and received membership awards including awards for goals reached in productive workers and new farmer members. Top signers also received awards. "The membership chairman's job is one of the most important in the organization," Watkins said.
