Roger Burtchin
Wood County

Roger Burtchin is serving his second year as president of Wood County Farm Bureau. Prior to becoming president he acted as treasurer, promotion and education chairman and membership co-chairman.

He also was a delegate to the Ohio Farm Bureau annual meeting and served on the state policy development committee.

"I believe Ohio Farm Bureau is important because it promotes agriculture and helps outsiders learn what agriculture means to them," Burtchin said. "Ohio Farm Bureau reaches out to so many people from children to senior citizens, and it works to benefit everyone in the state."

Burtchin is a retired industrial arts teacher from Ottawa Hills High School. On the farm, he raises corn, soybeans and wheat.

He and his wife, Kathryn, have two children and two grandchildren and live in Pemberville. They attend Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
