Carolyn Richardson
Auglaize County

Carolyn Richardson has been an active Farm Bureau member for nearly 40 years. Currently, she is secretary of the county board of trustees, serves as county information coordinator and is active with the promotion and education committee. She is a delegate to this year’s OFBF annual meeting. She and her husband, John, have been members of the Auglaize County Moon City Flatlanders advisory council for 35 years.

The Richardsons operate a 500 acre registered Guernsey and Holstein dairy farm with their son Keith. They raise alfalfa, corn, soybeans and wheat. They are active in the Ohio Guernsey Breeders and served as co-chairmen of the National Guernsey Convention when it was in Ohio a few years ago. Richardson also is minority adviser on the Auglaize County Farm Service Agency.

She and John are parents of two sons, two daughters and have 10 grandchildren. They attend St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

"We need the organization as our voice in Washington," she said. She also spoke highly of the advisory council program, touting the benefits of getting together with neighbors to discuss issues, but also the friendships made through councils.
