Nationwide, Farm Bureau partner to distribute 'Gimme the Keys, Please!'Teen drivers have the highest crash risk of any age group, according to the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, and car crashes are the No. 1 killer of teens. When it comes to driver safety, Ohio Farm Bureau and Nationwide have partnered in a campaign to encourage parents to sit down with their teens and talk about their expectations for keeping them safe. Gimme the Keys, Please! is a 16-minute video that shows excited young drivers, their excited yet reserved parents and then shares testimony from those who have lost young loved ones in car accidents. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, of which Nationwide is a member, developed the video. An estimated 7,000 copies have been distributed through agents and county Farm Bureaus. By using the video, OFBF and Nationwide’s goals are to save the lives of young drivers and others they share the road with; reduce policyholder claims and promote a spirit of partnership between county Farm Bureaus, Nationwide agents and policyholders.
