Grant writing workshop offered for help with energy projects

OFBF is working to help rural Ohioans obtain U.S. Department of Agriculture financial assistance for renewable energy technologies (biomass, solar and wind) and energy efficiency projects. OFBF, the Ohio Department of Development, Office of Energy Efficiency and other groups are conducting an informational program March 3 at the Ohio Department of Agriculture, 8995 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg.

The morning session will provide an overview of the Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvement Grants, along with eligibility requirements and the application process. There also will be a panel discussion identifying other available financial resources.

Participants will then meet with special technology teams, which will help them prepare and submit grant applications.

Those interested need to contact Jessica Sharp, jsharp@ododn.state.oh.us, no later than Feb. 23. There is no charge for the meeting and lunch is provided.
