New women's trustee elected

Judy Loudenslager of Marion is OFBF’s newest Northwest Women’s trustee. She was elected March 3 during a special election to fill a seat vacated when former Northwest Women’s trustee Ellen Joslin successfully ran for the District 10 seat.

Loudenslager has been a Marion County Farm Bureau member for 46 years and is currently government affairs chair and policy and development chair. She also has served as Marion County Farm Bureau’s president, secretary and treasurer and is active with Farmers’ Share Breakfast and Food Check-Out Day.

In 1997, she was Ohio Agricultural Woman of the Year and Ohio Flying Farmer Woman of the Year in 1994. She also was Marion County Republican of the Year in 1996.

Loudenslager is a board member of Marion General Hospital and Marion County Republican Club president. She previously worked as a counselor for the state’s unemployment bureau. She graduated from Morral High School.

Loudenslager and her husband, Roy, have 2,100 acres of corn and soybeans, which they farm with Roy’s brother and sister-in-law.

The couple have one daughter and three grandsons and are members of Epworth Methodist Church.
