Register for July 15 drainage conference

Drainage issues and concerns will be the focus of a day-long workshop to be hosted by Ohio Farm Bureau on July 15 at the Columbus Marriott Northwest in Dublin. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be served.

Each county Farm Bureau is being asked to designate two attendees whose registration will be covered by OFBF. A limited number of additional registrations, at a cost of $35 each, also will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis.

Panel discussions and individual presentations will explore the top issues affecting agricultural drainage in Ohio today such as current drainage laws and regulations, political and financial constraints on drainage, new drainage design concepts, water quality versus water quantity and emerging issues that could negatively impact water movement. The conference is part of OFBF’s ongoing effort to collect information for the policy development process.

Registration forms are available at www.ofbf.org Click on the conference title in the events section of the front page. Registration information is also available from David Rule at 614-246-8210 or drule@ofbf.org
