Kendra Heffelfinger is organization director for Defiance, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert counties. As organization director, she acts as a liaison between the county Farm Bureaus and OFBF and assists counties in developing and implementing programs to strengthen the organization. Previously she was a grain originator at Latty Grain, Ltd. She is an Ohio State University graduate with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. She was very active on the OFBF State Youth Committee and participated in FFA in high school. She and her husband, Mike, operate a family farm where they raise corn, soybeans, wheat and feeder pigs. They are parents of a new baby, Luke, and reside in Van Wert County. They are members of the Diversified Discussers Advisory Council. Heffelfingers community activities include serving as church youth coordinator, Payne Pollies & Flyers 4-H club assistant and as a member of the Paulding County Extension Advisory committee. "The experience gained working on issues with volunteers has been invaluable. Seeing a policy come to fruition, watching the discussions unfold and assisting volunteers take action on their members behalf is rewarding," she said. | |
