Lawrence County Farm Bureau emphasized the importance of farm safety during the annual Ironmaster Days festival. Held June 23 to 25, the festival in downtown Ironton celebrated the history of the steel industry. For the first time, the county Farm Bureau had a booth at the event, which also featured an antique tractor and engine show. Volunteers passed out literature about Farm Bureau's benefits at the booth, which had a tractor rollover display. The county Farm Bureau is considering making this an annual event, said Jill Smith, organizational director for Athens, Gallia and Lawrence counties.
