Our Ohio: Telling Agriculture’s Story

Published on 07/25/2005

Our Ohio TV
The Our Ohio television crew has been on location shooting video for upcoming television segments. Topics include the history of Malabar Farm and its farm market (Richland County), Amish life (Holmes County), covered bridges (Preble County), strawberries (Clinton County), a barn turned into a Bed and Breakfast (Marion County) and behind the scenes with the Ag and the Arts project (Clark County).

Out and About: North Market Food and Wine Festival
Our Ohio hosted a display at the annual Food and Wine Festival at the North Market in Columbus on July 9. Farm Bureau's famous Giant Corn Climbing Wall was also on hand to entertain visitors. Thousands of central Ohioans attended this event, which marked Farm Bureau's first opportunity to participate by promoting agriculture through the Our Ohio brand.

Vintage Ohio
Come to Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland for the annual Vintage Ohio festival, Aug. 5 and 6. OFBF and county volunteers from Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake county Farm Bureaus will be available at the Our Ohio tent. Visitors can view clips from the television show and leave with Our Ohio giveaways. Farm Bureau is a People Mover sponsor again this year.
