A corn climbing wall was a popular destination for youngsters who attended a family night at Muskingum County Speedway on July 15. Farm Bureau's Coshocton, Guernsey, Holmes, Knox, Licking and Muskingum counties were sponsors of the climbing wall, which helped create awareness about agriculture. Volunteers from each of the counties helped assist the children and answer questions about Farm Bureau. Next to the climbing wall was an exhibit sponsored by Licking County Farm Bureau that featured a two-wheel drive pulling truck that uses biodiesel fuel. "It went phenomenal," said Susan Brinker, organization director for Coshocton, Holmes, Knox and Licking counties. "As children were climbing, adults were marveling at the truck. We had quite a few people at the exhibits and many were not from a predominately agricultural area." | |
