Our Ohio: Telling Agriculture’s Story

The results are in

After a successful run at the Ohio State Fair, the county Farm Bureau "Porks of Art" winners have been selected. OFBF asked Ohio State Fair Queen Kisha Bodey, members of the Ohio Expo Commission and Stewart McKissick, a visual communications professor, to select their first, second and third place winners. Also, more than 4,600 fairgoers cast their votes for "Best in Show". Here are the county winners in order of first through third place:

Fair Queen: Ashtabula, Jefferson, Jackson/Vinton

Expo Commission: Montgomery, Madison, Lake

Most Artistic (chosen by Steward McKissick): Carroll, Tuscarawas, Ashtabula

Best in Show: Sandusky, Harrison, Washington

Photos of all the pigs are posted at OurOhio.org where online voting is available through Oct. 17. OFBF members at this year’s annual meeting will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the People’s Choice awards and the pigs will be returned to county Farm Bureaus at that time.
