Our Ohio workshop at Expo
An Our Ohio gift basket workshop drew good crowds at the PBS 45 & 49’s Make It Myself! Expo, which featured more than 70 hands-on workshops with public television and other national and local how-to experts and a free consumer show for craft enthusiasts, Sept. 9 to 11 in downtown Akron. Ohio Farm Bureau was a presenting sponsor for the event. In addition, Emily Masters, one of the Our Ohio television show hosts, conducted stage presentations. Ohio Farm Bureau would like to thank the following businesses that donated items for the gift baskets: Cuyahoga County Farm Bureau and The King Nut Co., Lanterman’s Mill, Wayne Arnold, Richards’ Maple Sugar Candy, Ohio Grape Industry Program and Breitenbach, Meier and Slate Run Wineries, Tastee Apple Chips, Ohio Proud, Reid Apiary, Moreland Fruit Farm and Fitch Pharm Farm.

Don’t forget to vote
The county Farm Bureau "Porks of Art" pigs were on display at the Mahoning County Fair in Canfield. More than 7,300 votes were cast and the top three vote getters, in order, were Ashland, Sandusky and Washington. To vote for your favorite, visit OurOhio.org where online voting is available through Oct. 17. OFBF members at this year’s annual meeting will have the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice awards, and pigs will be returned to county Farm Bureaus at that time.

WGTE Toledo – Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. (Beginning Nov. 1)
WOSU Columbus – Sundays at 11:30 a.m.
WOUC Cambridge – Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. (Beginning Oct. 12)
WOUB Athens – Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. (Beginning Oct. 12)
WPBO Portsmouth – Sundays at 11:30 a.m.
WVIZ Cleveland -- Saturdays at 6:30 p.m.
WBGU Bowling Green -- Saturdays at 8:00 a.m.
