Ohio Farm Bureau and Universal Rx are offering expanded benefits to the Universal Rx program. Currently, members can receive prescription discounts at 35,000 chain pharmacies using their Universal Rx card. Now the program offers savings on over-the-counter items, durable medical equipment, diabetic supplies, mail order prescriptions and hearing aids and supplies, all rolled into one.

The new program, called "Points of Care," requires members to use their Universal Rx card, which is printed below. Additional cards can be obtained from county Farm Bureau offices.

Over-the-Counter Savings Program and Durable Medical Equipment Savings Program
Points of Care provides an over-the-counter program with online ordering for home delivery. Orders of $15 or more are shipped free. If you don't see an item you're looking for, contact Points of Care with your special request. Products are shipped within 24 hours of placing your order.

The Durable Medical Equipment Savings Program provides savings ranging from 20 percent to 40 percent off retail prices as well as the convenience of home delivery.

Mail Order Savings Program
The Points of Care mail order program allows the option of obtaining a 30-, 60- or 90-day supply of medication while still receiving the convenience of ordering through the mail and achieving the lowest prices for mail order prescriptions. Order online at www.pointsofcare.com or call 800-742-0504.

Diabetic Supply Savings Program
Program benefits include discounts on glucose testing equipment and supplies; no-cost glucose meters for newly diagnosed clients with their first order; meter training by client service staff; home delivery of supplies, and Voice-to-Voice equipment guidance offered by customer service team members.

Hearing Savings Program
Nationwide Hearing Services, Inc. has joined with Universal Rx to provide the highest quality hearing aids and hearing care services at 50 percent to 65 percent off manufacturer suggested retail price. The plan includes a network of more than 1,500 hearing care professionals as well as a 45-day trial period to evaluate your new hearing aid(s), 40 free hearing aid batteries and one year of free cleanings after the trial period.

Call 877-616-4500 with your member ID, group number and mailing address to receive a hearing care information packet. Once you receive the packet, call the hearing care professional's office listed in the packet for a full hearing evaluation.
