Time to renew your membershipPublished on 11/21/2005Renewal notices have been sent. Farm Bureau reminds members to renew before Dec. 31 so they can receive the maximum benefit from the accidental death or specific loss insurance policy. The policy payout is determined by when dues are paid and if the person was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. By renewing your membership before Dec. 31, members qualify for a maximum benefit of $10,000 should an accidental death or specific loss occur. Covered activities include using a farm tractor; farm truck with a noncommerical or farm license or other farm implements; equipment or tools in farming operations; using powered yard and garden equipment; using a residential or farm swimming pool, pond, cistern, well or lagoon; traveling directly to or from or attending any Farm Bureau officially called and sponsored meeting; riding in, boarding or alighting from a private car or truck during the 30-day period immediately following a county membership kickoff for the purpose of soliciting Farm Bureau members, and working with domestic livestock in farming operations. The accidental death policy was delivered in renewal notices. It spells out the benefit provisions of the policy. Contact your county Farm Bureau office to claim this benefit. | |
