Putnam County Farm Bureau donated a case of pancake mix, 10 dozen eggs and 50 pounds of sausage for a breakfast that raised money for hurricane victims in the South. The Farm Bureau partnered with Continental Conservation Club and Sen. Lynn Wachtmann, R-Napoleon, and Rep. Stephen Buehrer, R-Delta, in coordinating and hosting the Oct. 29 event. The three-hour breakfast raised more than $1,000, said Kendra Heffelfinger, organization director for Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert counties. She said both of the lawmakers helped out at the event. "It was good to see the cooperation between the farm community and the sportsman club for a worthwhile effort," she said. | |
