Washington County residents kicked up their heels recently when they attended for a square dance hosted by the county Farm Bureau.

The square dance was the first for Washington County Farm Bureau, and more than 125 Farm Bureau members of all ages attended the free Feb. 4 event. The evening began with a dinner and after supper, the tables were cleared and room was made for the dancing to begin.

"We were looking to hold an event that would appeal to all members from young farmers with small children to our more mature members," said Tiffany Pattison, organization director for Morgan, Muskingum, Perry and Washington counties.

Pattison said a good crowd stayed for most of the three-hour event.

"The feedback we received was outstanding," she said. "It seems as though fun was had by all."
