Farm Bureau hosts health screenings

Jefferson County Farm Bureau helped area residents monitor their health by hosting a Life Line Screening event.

Since 1993, Life Line Screening's mobile units have been coming to neighborhoods to provide stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease and osteoporosis screenings.

About 100 people signed up for the screenings, which took place Feb. 13 in Wintersville. It was the second time Jefferson County has hosted the screenings, which are non-invasive ultrasound tests.

Farm Bureau members received a discount on the tests.
