ProfilesPublished on 05/15/2006![]() Volunteer Joe Arnold lives on the family farm he grew up on in Richland County. He raises corn, soybeans, hay and wheat on the 300-acre farm, which includes pasture for his small herd of beef cattle. He has been a Farm Bureau member for nine years and currently serves as county president. He also has served on the county agricultural ecology, code, annual meeting and audit committees as well as farm income and risk management coordinator. He has been county board secretary, treasurer and vice president. In addition, he serves on the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church council. He is chairman of the church’s property committee and a Sunday School teacher. He also serves on the Monroe Township board of appeals and holds a full-time job as an industrial plumber. He and his wife, Jackie have three children. "One of the reasons I’m a member is to help (preserve) land rights and (help) farmers keep their rights. That’s what I like about Farm Bureau," he said. | |
