Farm Bureau names county organization directorPublished on 06/12/2006![]() John Torres has been named organization director for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) in Fairfield, Hocking, Pickaway and Ross counties. As organization director, Torres will act as liaison between the county Farm Bureaus and OFBF. He will assist the county groups as they develop and implement programs to strengthen the organization and enhance its ability to serve its members. "I have always had a passion for both agriculture and service and am so grateful that I have this opportunity to help promote the many great things that our producers, business people and agricultural specialists are doing across Ohio," Torres said. Torres grew up on a grain farm in Fulton County. He has previously served OFBF as a communications intern and an Ohio State Fair intern. Torres also worked as a commodity trader for Archer Daniels Midland in Indianapolis. He graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in agriculture and has an American FFA degree. "We're extremely pleased to have John as part of our team. His enthusiasm and dedication to agriculture makes him a tremendous asset to our members," said Jeff Watkins, OFBF vice president of field services. | |
