ProfilesPublished on 06/12/2006![]() Staff John Fitzpatrick joined the Ohio Farm Bureau staff in 1999; previously he was the Ohio area manager for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Summit County native received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron. Although he did not grow up on a farm, he spent many summers at his grandfather’s farm in Wyandot County. In Wayne County, he serves as a planning commissioner, member of the county Economic Development Council board of directors and is vice-chairman of the Extension Advisory Committee. He also serves on the advisory committee for the Ashland Economic Development Corporation, on the Rocky River Watershed Planning Partnership, is a member of the Friends of Scouting – Lakes District, Boy Scouts of America and recently attained the 18-gallon blood donor milestone for the American Red Cross. He and his wife Sandy have four children and four grandchildren. The Fitzpatricks serve as Eucharistic ministers at Prince of Peace Catholic Church and reside in Wayne County. "Wayne, Ashland and Medina County Farm Bureaus are blessed with very knowledgeable volunteer leaders who are also passionate about agriculture, both today and in the future.
