Canvas voting ongoing
The Growing a Masterpiece art canvas project is still gaining notice and votes with the Best of Show winner to be announced at the Ohio Farm Bureau annual meeting Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1. The Best of Show winner will be determined from voting at all events, as well as online voting at OurOhio.org. Here are the top 10 counties as determined from voting at the Ohio State Fair and the OFBF Leadership Conference: Ross, Sandusky, Medina, Meigs, Ashtabula, Carroll, Harrison, Franklin, Wood and Ottawa.

Television update
Filming is underway for Our Ohio’s second season. The show will continue to build on the momentum from season one; however, a few changes are in store. A new small towns segment is planned that will feature unique things to see and do, as are some other short, educational segments. In addition, the show is welcoming Gail Hogan as its new host. A seasoned television professional, Hogan has more than 20 years experience in television and radio. She began her career in radio news at a station in Toledo and most recently was anchor of the early evening news show at WCMH-TV (NBC 4) in Columbus. Hogan left WCMH in 2004 when she moved to Reputation Management Associates of Columbus as vice president of marketing.

In other news, Ohio public television station WCET in Cincinnati will be airing Our Ohio this fall. The addition means all 12 Ohio public television stations will be airing the second season of the program, which begins Oct. 7.

Our Ohio is brought to you by Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and Nationwide Insurance.
