Our Ohio Season Two
The new season of Our Ohio television begins Oct. 7 on Ohio public television stations. The Think TV crew has been out and about in Ohio. Some of the segments coming up on the show include a visit with Plastic Suppliers, who are making plastic film from corn; a trip to southeast Ohio to visit the Wilds and Velvet Ice Cream; a look at the Columbus Washboard Company, the last U.S. manufacturer of washboards; the Great Darke County Fair; Campbell’s Soup Factory in Napoleon and the carrot harvest in Henry County; and farms in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Visit OurOhio.org, where to watch, for air dates and times and the coming next section for descriptions of upcoming shows. Our Ohio out and about
Our Ohio had displays at the Antiques and Gardeners’ Fair at Franklin Park Conservatory and at the Cincinnati Horticultural Society’s Fall-o-Ween & Farm Festival. The events are an opportunity to reach out to consumers about Our Ohio’s television, magazine and Internet presence. Our Ohio Web site updates
The Web site is undergoing a redesign. A new home page and a new recipes section are being created as well as discussion forums, areas where visitors can "meet" for discussion on topics such as recipes and gardening. A special forum of interest will allow participants to share events and other attractions in their hometowns. Watch for the changes coming this fall.
