Kiddie tractor pull attracts pint-sized participants

On Sept. 9, the Muskingum County Farm Bureau co-hosted the 12th annual Farm City Day. Each year, the county Farm Bureau chooses a "spotlight" event to sponsor; this year, it chose a kiddie tractor pull. The Tuscarawas chapter of Farm Safety for Just Kids operated the pedal pull. The pedal pull was for kids ages 3-10 and split into four age divisions. Each participant received a ribbon and safety packet, and the winners of each division received a trophy sponsored by the Farm Bureau. Close to 50 kids participated in the pedal pull.

Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation District, Farm Service Agency, Guernsey Muskingum Electric, the Zanesville Chamber of Commerce and the Muskingum County commissioners were also sponsors.
