Volunteer
Doug Goings
Paulding County

Doug Goings is a nearly 30-year Farm Bureau member, currently serving as county president. He has been a county board member for 15 years, serving also as vice president and secretary. Over the years, he has served on the marketing committee and has been government affairs chairman, a delegate to the OFBF annual meeting and a membership volunteer, earning the Ambassador Club designation once. He has served on an OFBF commodity committee, on the Envision Future committee and is a member of the Paulding County United Clodworkers Advisory Council.

Born and raised in Paulding County, he is the fourth generation on the farm. He is a full-time farmer, raising corn, soybeans and wheat on 2,700 acres. His son, Jeremy, has returned to farm full-time with him. They are advocates of precision agriculture, using auto steering on their tractors and combines. They also bale 30,000 bales per year.

He and his wife, Diane, are the parents of Jeremy and Chelsie.

"Farm Bureau has a considerable amount of respect in government at the state and national levels," he said. He also appreciates that Farm Bureau listens to farmers.
