AFBF annual meeting in Salt Lake City arrangements availablePublished on 10/23/2006![]() Join fellow Ohio Farm Bureau members in Salt Lake City for the 88th AFBF annual meeting Jan. 7 to 10. Salt Lake City was the site of the 2002 Winter Olympics and is situated in a valley beneath the Wasatch Mountains, offering stunning mountain views. Salt Lake City also is known as the home of the Mormon Tabernacle. Park City, only 30 minutes from Salt Lake City, is a must for ski and snowmobile enthusiasts. Park City also hosts the Sundance Film Festival Jan. 18 to 28. Highlights of the meeting include keynote speaker Fred Thompson, former Tennessee senator; young farmer and rancher contests, entertainer Michael Martin Murphey and cowboy poet and humorist Baxter Black. Ohio Farm Bureau guests will be staying at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, which is just 1/2 block from the convention center and near all downtown attractions, including Historic Temple Square, Capital Theater, Crossroads Mall and the state capitol.
