Mike Fearon joined the Ohio Farm Bureau staff in 1999 as organization director in Champaign, Clark and Madison counties. He was promoted to director of membership in 2001. His primary duties are to direct the statewide membership campaign and to organize the young farmer program. He is an Ohio State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a minor in agricultural economics. The Tuscarawas County native grew up on a small swine and cattle farm; he was heavily involved in 4-H and FFA. He continues to be involved in agriculture, serving as a 4-H advisor for the Swine Koolers 4-H Club, as a junior fair swine show judge and enjoys raising and showing pigs. He and his wife Rachel reside in Montgomery County with their two children Madelyn, age 3, and Seth, age 3 months. They are members of Grace United Methodist Church.

"I enjoy my daily contact with the members of the organization. They are all very passionate about agriculture, and I enjoy serving as a resource to them and seeing them realize their leadership potential," he said.
