Six new couples were recently named to the OFBF Young Farmer Committee. They are Dave and Kari Burkey, Muskingum County; Ty and Robyn Callicoat, Clark County; Barrett and Chandra French, Huron County; Rick and Billie Jo Haines, Coshocton County; Ryan and Nikki McClure, Paulding County; Chip and Shannon Yochum, Highland County. The Young Farmer Committee develops and conducts activities designed to encourage young individuals and couples to become involved in Farm Bureau. Members of the Young Farmer Committee serve a two-year term in which they develop and conduct activities designed to encourage young individuals and couples to become involved in Farm Bureau. Young farmers are OFBF farmers age 35 or younger who are interested in improving the business of farming, learning new ideas and developing important leadership skills. OFBF believes that its future, as well as the future of all agriculture, hinges on the involvement of young farmers. To learn more about this program, contact your local county Farm Bureau office.
