Our Ohio: Telling Agriculture’s StoryPublished on 04/19/2007
Our Ohio at the Cincinnati Flower Show
Stunning floral designs, spectacular gardens, the highest standards and the latest trends …all aptly describe the Cincinnati Flower Show, the only flower show in North America endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society of Great Britain. The show runs April 21 through 29. Be sure to stop by the Grand Marquee while you’re there to visit a re-created storefront and farmers’ market where Our Ohio will be featured. Here you can also see a miniature farm and train display sponsored by Ohio Farm Bureau. And if you have time, pick up your "Garden to Go," featuring herbs, vegetables and edible flowers. Farm Bureau members can save $5 off general admission to the show when tickets are purchased online in advance. Visit www.cincyflowershow.com for more details. Also, bring your Farm Bureau membership card to the Flower Show to receive 50 cents off nonalcoholic drinks at the Garden Club Café, the Floristry Pavilion and Coney’s Bistro in Moonlite Pavilion. Just show your card to the vendors to get your discount. Our Ohio advertising
Wayne County member Dan Tropea will be the subject of Our Ohio’s next print advertising campaign, which will appear in Ohio and Cleveland magazines. Tropea’s mint tea business was recently featured in the March/April/May Our Ohio magazine. Our Ohio television
New Our Ohio television shows began in April on all Ohio public television stations. Some of the stories planned for this spring include apple cider, Amish barn builders, Jeni’s Ice Cream, wildlife, auctioneering school and community gardens. Special cooking segments with Chef Pierre Wolfe and animal segments with Dr. Don Sanders will be included as part of the show. Visit OurOhio.org, then "television" for show air dates and times. Our Ohio is brought to you by Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and Nationwide Insurance. (is this italics?) |
