Ohio Farm Bureau Federation has named Kari Burkey as organization director for Morgan, Muskingum, Perry and Washington counties. She replaces Tiffany Pattison who was promoted to Southeast Region supervisor.

As organization director, Burkey acts as a liaison between the county Farm Bureaus and OFBF. She assists the counties as they develop and implement programs to strengthen the organization and enhance its ability to serve members.

She grew up on a Muskingum County farm and continues to help out with the family’s beef, hay, corn and soybean production. She and her husband, Dave, have horses and plan to open a working guest ranch near Adamsville this summer.

She has been a Muskingum County Farm Bureau member for three years, serving as secretary/treasurer of its board. She also has served on OFBF’s state young farmer committee. She is a member of the Coshocton County Ohio Horseman’s Council and Muskingum County Land Commission Task Force.

A 1996 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, Burkey has a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Elon College in North Carolina. Her work experience includes managing a working ranch in Tennessee for three years and being a special education assistant at Tri-Valley High School.
