Cara Lawson, promotion specialist

Cara Lawson joined the staff of Ohio Farm Bureau in 2006. In her role, she is responsible for promoting the Our Ohio brand at statewide events, developing Our Ohio television story ideas and communicating with the show’s production company Think tv, and working with organization directors and field staff to promote Our Ohio.

She grew up on a tobacco and beef cattle farm in Brown County and also showed horses. She was active in FFA, serving as a state officer and has her American FFA degree. She is a graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and currently is a member of the College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences alumni board. Prior to coming on staff full-time, she served as a communications intern and Ohio State Fair intern with OFBF.

She is a member of the Ohio Agricultural Communicators Association and a member of St. Michael’s Church in Ripley.

"It's a lot of fun to tell agriculture’s story through the Our Ohio brand. I really enjoy learning about and getting to know the people and places that make Ohio great," she said.
