OFBF fills two staff membership positions

Janet Cassidy is OFBF’s new director of membership marketing and Scott Donaldson has been named director of member programming.

Cassidy, of Delaware, will help develop long-range membership and marketing goals. She also will help create promotional marketing plans to support county Farm Bureau membership recruiting activities.

Cassidy most recently ran her own marketing consulting company and was director of marketing for the North Market in Columbus for three years. She has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture communications from Ohio State University. She has been active with Farm Bureau in Delaware, Franklin and Stark counties, serving as information and membership chairs. She grew up on an apple farm and is a beekeeper and market gardener. She also is a home canning demonstrator and cooking class instructor.

Donaldson, of West Carrollton, will direct member-related programming and technical strategies associated with member information and data collection. He will provide staff leadership in areas such as volunteer membership campaigns and Nationwide Insurance sales activities.

He is a 20-year member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. He is a former OFBF organization director and regional supervisor. He has worked for Nationwide Insurance as both an agent and in the property claims division. Most recently he was general manager of the Dayton branch of a construction firm. He graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.
