Burkett elected to state Farm Bureau boardPublished on 06/14/2007![]() Frank Burkett III of Canal Fulton has been elected to the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, representing Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage and Stark counties. Burkett took office following a special election by delegates from his four-county region and fills the seat vacated by former OFBF Vice President and Trustee Jeff Zellers who now serves on the board of Nationwide Insurance. Burkett, 31, in partnership with three uncles, owns and manages Clardale Farms, Inc., a dairy and crop operation originating from his grandparents, Dale and Clara Rohr. He received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Ohio State University with a major in agricultural systems management and a minor in agricultural economics. As a member of the Stark County Farm Bureau, Burkett has served as a board trustee, policy development chairman and farm tour chairman. He also serves as a board member for the Ohio Dairy Producers and Stark County Dairy Committee. He and his wife, Christina, have been married for 10 years and are members of Rivertree Christian Church. | |
