Nearly 400 Scioto County fifth graders were recently given the opportunity to immerse themselves in and learn about agriculture and its important role in everyday life at Scioto County Farm Bureau’s Ag Adventure Day.

Students got down and dirty as they learned how to milk a dairy goat provided by Scioto County farmer Michelle Henry. Henry, who also produces goat milk soap, presented various products derived from goat milk. County commissioners were on hand to judge a design your own T-shirt contest, and an essay contest was also held. Each child attending the event received a free T-shirt.
