Americans think of terrorism in their homeland, visions of the Twin Towers or
Oklahoma Federal Building come to mind. But other possible targets include the
nation’s farms, food processors and retailers. Preventing agro-terrorism is the
topic of discussion on Town Hall Ohio,
Sunday at 7 a.m. on WTVN Radio. Guests on
the program are Richard Maier, a weapons of mass destruction expert with the Federal
Bureau of Investigation; Jeremy Stump, homeland security adviser to the
secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture; Chuck Kirchner, food safety
administrator for the Ohio Department of Agriculture; and Sandy Kuhn, executive
director of the Ohio Livestock Coalition. They will address who might target the food supply and how; what’s
being done to monitor and prevent an attack and what the response will be
should an attack occur. Town Hall Ohio is
a weekly discussion program that covers a variety of issues relevant to all
