COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - When Americans think of terrorism in their homeland, visions of the Twin Towers or Oklahoma Federal Building come to mind. But other possible targets include the nation’s farms, food processors and retailers. Preventing agro-terrorism is the topic of discussion on Town Hall Ohio, Sunday at 7 a.m. on WTVN Radio.

Guests on the program are Richard Maier, a weapons of mass destruction expert with the Federal Bureau of Investigation; Jeremy Stump, homeland security adviser to the secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture; Chuck Kirchner, food safety administrator for the Ohio Department of Agriculture; and Sandy Kuhn, executive director of the Ohio Livestock Coalition. They will address who might target the food supply and how; what’s being done to monitor and prevent an attack and what the response will be should an attack occur.

Town Hall Ohio is a weekly discussion program that covers a variety of issues relevant to all Ohioans. It is produced by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and is supported by Nationwide Insurance. WTVN is located at 610 on the AM dial.
