Gahler named OFBF organization directorPublished on 09/11/2007 For Immediate Release COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) has named Allen Gahler organization director for Lucas, Ottawa and Wood counties in northwest Ohio. As organization director, Gahler will act as a liaison between the county Farm Bureaus and OFBF and assist the county groups as they develop and implement programs to strengthen the organization and enhance its ability to serve its members. Farm Bureau’s vision is to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers. Born and raised on an Ottawa County grain and cattle farm, Gahler has most recently worked as Extension director and Extension educator in Fairfield County. He is a graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and a master’s degree in agricultural education. Gahler and his wife, Susan, reside in Graytown. Additionally, Gahler serves as Secretary of the Ohio Angus Association and Chairman of the Ohio Cattlemen’s BEST committee. “Allen’s experience working with volunteers and developing educational communications will serve the Farm Bureau organization well. His knowledge of agricultural issues and their impact on the local community will be a great asset to the region,” said John Wargowsky, OFBF senior director of field communications.
