OFBF names new Organization DirectorPublished on 09/25/2007 For Immediate Release COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) has named Amanda Denes as organization director for Erie, Huron and Lorain counties. The Lorain County resident’s primary duties will be to work with the county Farm Bureaus to involve, develop and enhance leaders while providing objectives to improve the effectiveness of the organization. She will also work to develop and enhance relationships with other organizations, governmental agencies, cooperatives and community groups in each county, in addition to other responisbilities. Denes was most recently employed as an educator at the Oberlin Early Childhood Center. She grew up on a small family farm in Huntington producing grain crops, beef cattle and swine. Denes holds a bacholor’s degree in agricultural education from Ohio State University, where she was active in the Agricultural Education Society and Collegiate Young Farmers. She has been a member of Lorain County Farm Bureau for two years. "We look forward to the enthusiasm and energy that Amanda brings to Farm Bureau. Her prior involvement in Farm Bureau Young Farmer programs will help her engage new Young Farmers in Erie, Huron and Lorain counties," said John Wargowsky, OFBF senior director of field communications.
